Pyhä and Luosto Ski Resorts
Winter in Pyhä offers high standard downhill skiing settings, because construction of the slopes has concentrated on quality rather than quantity. Seven slope areas have strengthened their position in the hearts of the most active skiers as the country’s most esteemed ski resort. There is something to offer everyone: smaller members of the family can speed down the meandering Rosa & Rudolf adventure run covering around 700 metres. Beginners enjoy the Family Slope with its wavy trails, while the more experienced seek challenges from Huttu-Ukko and Pyhä’s renowned off-piste areas. Pyhä Park enthuses the new school users and the magic carpet built on the hotel level encourages people to take up the skiing pastime.
The slope services of Luosto are especially suitable for families and lovers of easy-going downhill skiing. The smaller members of the family and downhill skiing beginners will enjoy the excellent glide provided on the Family Slopes. The sledging hill and family slope are where the family can enjoy spending time together while taking it easy with downhill skiing. The easy-going upper plateaus of the Välirinne, Lustirinne and Kilparinne slopes change in the central slope areas into steep slopes with thrilling speed that requires the downhill skier or snowboarder to have good grip and control.
