HOW TO GET THERE

The Enontekiö – Kilpisjärvi resort area is located in Fell Lapland in the so-called ’Arm of Finland’. The distance from Kilpisjärvi to the Arctic Ocean and Skibotn is 50 km, with the distance to Tromsø being 180 km. The distance from Hetta to Kautokeino (Norway) is 80 km, to Alta and the Arctic Ocean 210 km, and to the North Cape 400 km. The distance from Karesuvanto to Kiruna (Sweden) is 160 km and to Narvik (Norway) 330 km.

Enontekiö Airport is located 8 kilometres from Hetta and 165 km from Kilpisjärvi. Finncomm Airlines operates the Helsinki – Enontekiö service in the spring season. You can also fly to Kittilä and take a connection to Enontekiö. There are daily bus connections to Hetta and Kilpisjärvi scheduled to depart from Rovaniemi just after the times the trains arrive from the south. You can even put your car on the train and sleep in a cabin overnight departing from Helsinki, Turku and Tampere to Kolari or Rovaniemi, from which you can continue with your car or take a hire car or bus to easily reach Enontekiö.
