Pyhätunturi 4th to 7th August 2011

Pyhä Unplugged is a half-acoustic music festival for all friends of good music. The festival is held in the great landscapes of Pyhätunturi fell, next to the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The Artistic Director Mato Valtonen gathers a great selection of best Finnish artists to Pyhä every year.

The main concerts will be held at the breathtaking Aittakuru open-air amphitheathre amidst magnificent nature. A new hiking trail leads directly to Aittakuru from the hotel (distance about 4km). There is also a bus transfer available. Other stages include Tajukangas with its’ lean-to’s and great atmosphere, and hotel Best Western Pyhätunturi restaurant Glacier.
PyhäUnplugged ranges from lunch concerts to late-night gigs, and there are always surprises. There’s something to cater for every music taste. The great atmosphere amongst the artists on the extraordinary natural stage of Tajukangas is directly transmitted for the audience, too.

House band at the event is Lenni-Kalle Taipale & SVY Orchestra.  Each individual musician are amongst the best in Finland.

The artists booked so far are:
Edu Kettunen & Pekka Ruuska, Mariska & Pahat Sudet, Johanna Rusanen, Martti Servo Duo, Laura Voutilainen and of course Sami Pitkämö.
