POPULATION
Lapland has a population of 184,390 inhabitants. Population density is 2.1 people/km². Lapland is home to approximately 7,000 indigenous Sámi. Lapland has around 200,000 reindeer. There are approximately 6,500 reindeer owners – reindeer herders.
